There are so many types to build and so many ways for me to act. Yet here I sit, waiting for the landlord to come up and kick me out along with Maureen and watch us go into a dwelling with Anna and her sweet boyfriend. Living like I always have. It isn't fair. Why so expensive' the fees we pay the others, and so much less other people live.
I've decided I will change. It will be sort of like those dwellings I put dowm on Cal-Eco or what ever. Its going to be different. Shit, now I got to see what Maureen thinks.
I wonder how this will go down in a classroom. It probably won't. But it will will take part of a group who want to work on it. Think, I'll go on for food. Housing: Make something for less than 10,000'00,and try live in it. Whew.
This is a blog to encourage me to keep going on what i consider a pathway toward living like our humanity is like one.

So.. get some land and build our own. There are several insights and architectural points which address the progran of building some in many ways. Because I am at the final 1/4 of my life I think I tend to wish like a person who can only think along building lines I have been in on the previous 3/4 of a lifetime. And yet I tend to think this is not right. It doesn't fit the whole earth.
There is a man, who died in 2008. I have been following him for about 12 years. He has designed a building system that seems to be able to go up anywhere, it is cheap, or can be if wanted, and can be built by any person or people. It can be found under Cal-earth in the news. Check out that web site. I plan on going dowh there to get the real picture around the June time. Let me know if you want to go. Crazy huh. Not as crazy as housing

Tuesday, April 3, 2012. Housing
The argument for "good" housing. First of all, it seems that I should think of the others who live in what our system thinks of as "not so good" housing. I suppose about 1/2 or more of the people on the earth live in "crappy" housing. This ranges from America where millions live in run down apartments to India, Africa, Mexico, or wherever else where they live in plywood or cardboard made shelters. Lots of people! So, what do I do.
I don't know. First, I can't solve it. Second, I could give up everything and make a small size shelter that will make any difference to them. Third, I can't make any donation to anyone who will make a difference to them. Fourth I can't go to the place and show them how to build something better unless I think it's better for me as well
I remember when I used to go to Mexico and spend four or five days there and take 30 or so kids along. When we returned to the comfort or our current homes we felt so good about what the exercise had done to us. We felt good about what our laber had done with the people there. But we also had a "funny" feeling about how that housing wasn't really enough. We would never want to live in it ourselves. We left it behind gladly. It wasn't really good enough for us So, what will relieve this feeling. Either insist on more adequate housing for the poor, or live in their models ourselves, and sell our models to willing neighbors (through education), or just shut up.
I was talking this morning with my daughter and her close friend, and they seemed to more or less
with this thinking. Get some land and build our own safe place with a minimum requirement with patterns we see or do in places such as Mexico. There is a lot to think about here.

second day. Housing. I Look at these six subjects as nearly as possible to my owm reality which is probably different than yours. I'm about to leave one place where me and my wife lived for twenty three years and raised five kids. It,s four bedrooms 3 bathrooms and covers 2,300 feet. All the kids are gone more or less, and all of them have been through college and pretty much made the decision about what they what they are going to do. In short, I feel the useful part of my life is over from the point of raising kids and from the standpoint of not having a lot of exercise because I had stroke about 15 fucking months ago. Healing for that comes slowly yet surely and even though I can only type with one hand each day it gets better. None the less, we are moving by no choice of our own. We have to move because of the things that have happened. You probably saw the article in the PD in Feb or so..
So, what does this have to with how I feel about housing? Nothing. Except it helps me understand how spoiled I have been over the past 65 years of living and how the future of my life could be a more constructive toward all of humanity if I took a more honest look at how people live, and tried to save a lot of grief on their part by trying to live more like they live. Better wait a few more days though before I adventure forward. What do you think?
